Brick and Wall Residents to Compete in SuperFit Championship at Jersey Shore

Jacqueline Rivera-Buie of Brick and Ashley DeBello of Wall qualified to compete in the SuperFit Championship this Saturday, June 22nd at Jenkinson’s Inlet Beach! Rivera-Buie and DeBello along with over 170 other competitors participated in one of the four SuperFit qualifiers-Westfield, Toms River, Teaneck, and Morristown. Now the top 95 finalists, including Rivera-Buie and DeBello, will compete for a $7,000 total prize purse at the Championship. In addition to the SuperFit finalists, there will be a wounded warrior division with ten veterans participating in their own workouts in support of the Wounded Warrior Project.

Starting at 8:30 AM Saturday, all the athletes will compete in two separate exercises that utilize varying aspects of fitness. Based on cumulative scores, a minimum of ten finalists per division will qualify to compete in the final workout, which is for time and involves a sprint to the finish to determine the SuperFit Champion.
