ReplyWill bicyclists also have to pay for the reapir and maintenance of those very same streets that they will ride down while holding up traffic so Lietner can ride his tricycle with the little horn on the handle bars? I suggest that all people, no matter the age, riding a bike have to wear helmets as well as goggles and taxed accordingly to help pay for the maintenance of those roadways...Lights and reflector markings 1/2 hour before sundown and 1/2 hour after sunrise. These bikes should have to go through a safety inspection just like autos to be sure they are road worthy...Bikers should have to obey all traffic regulations and pass a test to show that they are capable to understand what all traffic signs mean, hand signals included ...directionals, lights and brakes.Also they should not be allowed to go where an automobile cannot go ie sidewalks and foot paths etc. Parking meters should be fed as well...safety ya know...
