Frederick John LaVergne for Congress

About Frederick

Hi, folks...Frederick John LaVergne, here.  I am running for Congress in the Third District, which reaches across a vast part of Ocean and Burlington Counties.

I am part of the "Democratic-Republican" Party, the party of Jefferson, Madison, Monroe, and John Quincy Adams.

We stand for strict adherence to the Constitution (ALL of THE CONSTITUTION, including "Article the First" of the Articles of Amendment - the "Bill of Rights".), strong States' and individual rights, and for removing influence-peddling and pay-to-play politics using the "Change the Rules" Pledge.

I am a lifelong NJ resident, and I am disappointed in the way I see things being run.

Congress is sent to Washington D.C. not to rule, but to serve.  The folks we have there now seem to have forgotten who they are supposed to be serving.

We have not accepted even a dollar's donation in this campaign, and are fighting to win using only a pen, a calculator, and a library card.

Unfortunately, even though we are on the side of right where the law is concerned, certain bad actors, including BOTH Ocean and Burlington County Clerks AND the Counsel for the NJ Board of Elections have violated their own laws in attempting to stop our campaign.

At the Asbury Park Press Editorial Board Meeting, I was clearly the dominant candidate on every issue, so much so that two of my fellow independent candidates have resigned from the race and endorsed me.

We have a do-nothing party puppet in Jon Runyan.  I thought he was a better man when I voted for him two years ago...but, then, I thought Mr. Adler was a better man when I voted for HIM two years before that.  You can imagine my disappointment, as it is likely your own, as well.

I am a licensed finance and insurance professional and a Constitutional Scholar, with a passion for the environment and education, proven by my years of service in Scouting as an instructor and a Scoutmaster.  I am an OSPREY, btw - class of 1985, and also attended graduate school at Rutgers' Waksman Institute.

We hand-picked FOUR qualified individuals to run with us in this campaign as Freeholders.  In Ocean County, Tracy M. Caprioni and Scott Neuman - in Burlington County, Donald E. Letton and Kimberly Sue Johnson.  All are beyond reproach, and none are wearing partisan handcuffs, either.

Len Marshall is also running in part of Ocean County and Burlington County for Congress in District 4.  Len is the former Chairman of the New Jersey Conservative Party.

Eugene M. LaVergne, our Senate Candidate, is a Civil Rights attorney with broad experience, and is recognized as one of the premier Constitutional Scholars in the NATION.  A Seton Hall Graduate who attendede Monmouth University for his undergraduate degree, Eugene is the discoverer of the ratifications by Connecticut and Kentucky of Article the First, which will be responsible for correcting a 220-year-long error in the HOUSE.
