I have to disagree with Herbasheik Rod. From my understanding of the situation, some of the other comments made here are true. I've heard the weapon in question was used by the 'victim' on Tom and he then used it against the victim in self defense. It was not carried to the scene by Tom. The weapon found in his home was not the one used in the crime and may not even be owned by him, as other …   more ›

Good idea actually to have well hidden, well placed cameras to aid. Cost? Should not be an issue since Seaside themselves decided to allow that dumb show to totally ruin the town. And it did. That dumb show brought these clowns out of the woodwork. So, get smart......protect the people of the town and area properly. It has always been the folks who come to "visit" that cause the trouble. Seaside Heights' Troubles Predate MTV Fame

Seaside Heights was in trouble long before Snooki slithered into town

What a difference 51 summers can make. A faded, pink-tinged 1960 Seaside Heights promotional film available on YouTube bears little resemblance to the Seaside Heights of today. The beaches and boardwalks are full of families. Women and teenagers for the most part wore one-piece bathing suits. The more daring wore modest two-piece suits. No sunburned rumps split by thongs, no men who shouldn't be wearing Speedos wearing Speedos. No gold chains. "Everywhere young people can be seen enjoying each other," the moderator chortles, as the film zeroes in on a wholesome young couple chatting on the beach. Now fast forward to Memorial Day 2011.
