Altercation was over money, cops say; Brick teen charged with attempted murder
Brick police arrested a township man and charged him with attempted murder in the shooting of another township man during an argument over money. Brick officers were dispatched to a residence on Barber Avenue Friday night at 11:35 p.m. after a call came in reporting a man shot in the leg, according to Sgt. Keith Reinhard. Upon arrival, officers found a man, Sean Kenworthy, 28, with a gunshot wound to each of his thighs, Reinhard said. Kenworthy, whose injuries were not life threatening, was treated at the scene by Brick Volunteer EMS and then transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, by MONOC paramedics.
