Suspect in Brick Armed Robberies Arrested

The suspect in two armed robberies of convenience stores last weekend has been captured by police. Frank Laggan, 31, of Neptune, was arrested Wednesday charged with arming himself with a knife and entering two Brick convenience stores within an hour to rob them. In both robberies – which took place at the Route 88 7-Eleven and the Lanes Mill Road Wawa – the suspect got away without any money. Working from a tip from an anonymous source regarding the identity and whereabouts of the suspect, Brick police were dispatched to an undisclosed address where the suspect was alleged to be at that time, said Sgt.
