Brick Earns Trip to Finals with 2-0 Win Over Ocean
Tim Carney once again sparks the Dragons
With their 15th straight win following a 5-4 start, the Green Dragons varsity baseball team clinched a berth in the Central Jersey Group III Finals on Tuesday afternoon. The Ocean Township Spartans became the Dragons' latest victims, with senior Tim Carney once again playing the role of difference maker. Carney started for the Dragons, earning a complete game shutout, striking out six batters over seven innings. Carney also contributed to the only runs of the game, as his two run, opposite field home run gave the Dragons the lead in the top of the first.
