Marie Moore signed a National Letter of Intent for a lacrosse scholarship at the University of Colorado - Boulder.
Marie Moore, a three-sport, varsity athlete with a 96.9 grade-point average, intends to play lacrosse at the University of Colorado -- Boulder, where she plans to major in biology. Moore, who also plays soccer and basketball, will be facing the likes of Stanford, University of Southern California, and UCLA when the Colorado Buffaloes are playing in the PAC-12 conference. According to the University of Colorado, Moore is among four players from New Jersey taking part in the program's first full recruiting class.

Mustangs come up just short in emotional battle with Stateliners, losing 29-27
Over the years, Brick Memorial and Phillipsburg have dueled often, whether in regular season matches where they challenged each other's dominance or in the state team tournament. The matches have been electric, held in front of packed houses of some of the state's most intense wrestling fans. That includes last year, when the Mustangs beat Phillipsburg to advance to the NJSIAA Group IV final. When Brick Memorial and Phillipsburg faced off for the NJSIAA Group IV championship at Pine Belt Arena on the campus of Toms River North on Sunday, it was no less electrifying. Mustangs down Southern Regional, 34-22 in semifinals
Brick Memorial's Matt Moore caught Zeb Collins in a cradle and put him to his back late in the second period, pinning the Southern Regional senior to lift Brick Memorial to a 34-22 victory in the NJSIAA Group IV team wrestling semifinals at the Pine Belt Arena on Saturday morning. Brick Memorial (20-3), the Central Jersey Group IV champion, will take on Phillipsburg, the North Jersey Section 2 Group IV champions at 3:30 p.m. today. The Mustangs beat Southern, the No. 4 team in the state according to the Star-Ledger, on the strength of pins by Evan Berti and Tyler Richardson, in addition to the pin by Moore at 220. Mustangs earn first sectional championship since 2001
The freshmen and sophomores came through when Brick Memorial needed them most. Freshman Cliff Ruggiero had another big pin and sophomore Joe Ghione scored a major decision that clinched the match, as the Mustangs beat Jackson Memorial 35-29 to win the NJSIAA Central Jersey Group IV championship on Friday night at Jackson. It's Brick Memorial's 13th sectional crown and its first since 2009. Jackson Memorial came in as the No. 1 team in the state. Brick Memorial advances to the Group semifinals on Sunday at Poland Spring Arena on the campus of Toms River High School North. It amazes me that former players are suing for head injuries. No one made them play the game. it reminds me of the people that sue the cigarette companies for getting lung cancer even though they knew the risks.   more ›
