Oh Chris. So ignorant you are. You obviously aren't capable of an intelligent debate. And clearlyRead More don't know law. Lol

Nice finish, coffeenut. Good luck
Dotherightthing April 23, 2014 at 04:22 pm
Chris, whenever I ever hear someone defend an argument of any kind with "they were followingRead More orders" the "chain of command" I can't help but think this is precisely what's wrong with our state of consciousness as a society. Whether you are a policeman, a bus driver or a cashier you have your own mind on your own shoulders and that is what you NEED to use to make decisions. To just allow your own actions and morals to be dictated by the circulating "code" of whom has come before you only perpetuates previous mistakes. We as people must be objective agents at all times, not just when it suits our comfort zones to object.

Hey Moonpool great job watching out for your neighborhood If we don't care about our areas in todayRead More world of trash walking around no one else cares ..The police when you call them asked who what and where you give info then by the time they arrive problem is gone ..Now to all fairness I do believe the police are spread out thin and at times short handed ..So as long as crime in our town is going out of control in all areas we need to help each other ...

when someone passes away, we all are questioned with what could have we done for them to help orRead More prevent it or what if i was there a little bit sooner... now we have a prevention for a chance for a better life, a preventative and you that ignorant... know one knows what brought them down this road of darkness. what drove them to put a needle in their arm. Or what drives people to their own vices. But to loose hope is terrible. These are teens and young lost adults who loose hope in themselves and self medicate and become sick with the dependency of this drug same as any addiction. As for the drug dealers they should be put away for life for all i care.
Howard M. Syvarth April 23, 2014 at 01:27 pm
Oh to waste of DNA and other compounds that make up a living organism, the humanoid that calls themRead More self "letsgetreal" is a living example of never underestimate the power of human stupidity. I bet your black and white ivory tower must be a neat pace to live and the small slice of the universe you see is extrapolated to fill the void. Drug use, drug sales and abuse do not fit into your cookie cutter simplistic world view. You want to end this mess, stop the failed war on drugs. Get the criminal element out of the high profit business. Prohibition lead to the growth of the mafia. Make drugs unprofitable to the gangsters and the world as you know it will change for the better.
Heywood April 23, 2014 at 03:58 pm
No syvarth, it appears you're own ivory tower has clouded your judgment. Let the drug user knowRead More there are consequences to his/her choice and then see how well they deal with it. You seem to be suggesting a more liberal policy to drug use, which will lead to an even more impaired society.

Only 2 facts here....These two are low life scum animals who deserve to rot wherever they end up,Read More and most of the people on this blog are bigots. Anything else is BS
Mare April 23, 2014 at 03:21 pm
Gene and Andrew Virga, I agree. There doesn't need to be bigotted and racist comments. These twoRead More were just the scum of the earth and if they were white, they would still be total scum! Why on earth would anyone go to AP for drugs when there is an abundant supply in Maple Leaf Park? Just wondering....
Stephen April 23, 2014 at 04:02 pm
the VICTIM being in Asbury has nothing to do with the killing Mare. Has it been proven he was thereRead More for drugs? Maybe he was seeing a girl in Asbury. Do you not see how if he was in a mixed race relationship your drug comment is just as bigoted as other comments here? Making reference to Jessie & Al isn't bigoted, it's fact. Funny how these "leaders" never come out when it's not someone of color being killed or someone of color being killed by another individual of color but any Caucasian (even if they were minding their own business) killed by someone of color isn't a racist murder, it's only a hate crime or racial when a person of color is the victim. But when poor Justin was killed in the Short Hills Mall, where wasps the good reverend Al & Jessie?? Get outta here with that racial/bigoted crap. No doubt this poor victim Tom Sodano was targeted BECAUSE he was perceived to be an easy Caucasian mark.
DAS April 22, 2014 at 09:06 am
And how much will the cops take for their own pleasure? Crush them and throw them in the garbage orRead More flush them. These programs are a waste of tax payer money.
WMS826 April 22, 2014 at 09:41 am
The larger problem is doing just that. These drugs are now found in our water systems throughout theRead More country by flushing them and putting them in landfills.
DAS April 22, 2014 at 10:00 am
Sewer treatment plant should take care of water soluble drugs, landfills should be lined in thisRead More day and age. I don't think you are going to have any issues with drugs flushed down a toilet. I watched the folks at hospice flush viles of liquid morphine down the toilet, guessing no one was affected by it.

There is no doubt when police officers are visible , it would certainly be a deterrent to crime! IRead More agree with placing NJ State Police in high crime areas, I just don't know how well they are equipped to handle crimes other than traffic stops and protection of Gov. Christie! These state police officers although very highly trained, rarely deal with domestic violence, street or bar brawls, burglaries in progress, stabbings and shootings all within an urban environment. I am not trying to demean The NJ State Police but just stating the fact that they lack the experience that an urban police officer has!
Mr. Happy April 23, 2014 at 03:32 pm
Hi Linda - when the State Police are tasked to one of the cities (Newark, Trenton, Camden,Read More Irvington), they go in as a pro-active force, not re-active; that is to say, they won't be engaging in the response to domestics, bar brawls, etc. The mission is to initiate criminal investigations thru contact with potential violators in high crime areas. It works, at least in the short term.

Speedy trial? Define speedy. Charles Manson and company committed the Tate/LaBianca murders inRead More 1969. The trial wasn’t until two years later. It took over a year before Jack Ruby went on trial for shooting Oswald. And the entire nation saw him do that on TV. The infamous Boston Strangler was caught in early 1964 but wasn’t sentenced until 1967. Its only on Law & Order that it goes from commission of the crime to sentencing in an hour.

Let their families worry about them. It was their choice to use an addictive drug like heroin forRead More the first time. The cops should instead carry EpiPens to perhaps save someone having an allergic reaction (which the person can't control).

This time of year is the worst. I remember as a child, our home being on the forest edge, theRead More neighborhood men from across the road would come to our side and they'd all take hoses and keep the rear lawns wet so the fire wouldn't creep up to the homes. They'd wet the roofs of the homes as well. Those were scary times for a little kid.
