Back to School, Green Fair This Week

Also this week, a Stronger NJ Grant workshop will be held in Brick.

Depending upon your perspective, it's either the most wonderful time of the year, or back to reality this week.

School starts on Sept. 4 in Brick Township, is closed on the 5th and 6th and then reopens for good on Sept. 9.

On Sept. 5, the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA) will be hosting a Stronger NJ Grant Workshop for businesses damaged by Superstorm Sandy at 70 Chambers Bridge Rd., Brick, NJ 08723 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Also this week, the Third Annual Brick Township Green Fair will take place on Saturday, September 7, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Windward Beach Park, Princeton Avenue.

The Green Fair is open to all citizens and is free to attend.

The Green Fair is a community-wide Earth Day celebration designed to educate, enlighten and encourage people of all ages, incomes and backgrounds to adopt a more environmentally and socially responsible lifestyle.

There will be information on hand, exhibits, vendors and much more.

The Green Fair is hosted by the Mayors Advisory Committee on Renewable Energy, the Brick Township Municipal Utilities Authority, the Brick Township Department of Parks and Recreation, the Brick Township Environmental Commission and the Brick Township Tourist Development Commission.
