Brick Library Hosting Fundraiser to Convert Old Media to Digital Formats

Event is Jan. 18

If you have a stack of VHS tapes from personal camcorder or aging photos, the Friends of the Brick Library hope you'll consider bringing them to a library fundraiser and convert to new digital formats.

Media formats such as VHS tapes, 8 or 16 mm movies, photos, slides or photo albums will be converted to DVD. Digital Memory Media is working with the Friends of the Brick Library to host this fundraiser on Saturday Jan. 18 from 2-3 p.m.

Digital Memory Media will show you the best way to digitally preserve your materials. Bring your personal media to be dropped off for conversion to DVD by their professional technicians.

Once finished, you will be notified of a date and time to retrieve your material at the library. Costs vary, but 20 percent of the revenue from this fundraiser will go to benefit the Brick Library.
