Brick's Memorial Day Parade Set for Monday

Brick Township Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #8867 and the American Legion Post #348 will, as usual, lead the township's Memorial Day parade on Monday.

The annual parade will proceed west on Route 70 to Chambers Bridge Road, ending at the Brick Township Municipal Complex.  At the conclusion of the parade, a memorial program will be held in front of the municipal building, recognizing those who gave their lives in the defense of the United States.

The parade will be held rain or shine, township officials said, and will begin at 10 a.m.

Roads are expected to reopen at approximately 12 noon.

Also:

Brick Township municipal offices will be closed Monday, May 26 for Memorial Day. There will be no public works collections that day; collections will be delayed one day all week long.

The Public Works Recycling Center on Ridge Road will be open for normal hours, 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 24. It will be closed on Monday, however.
