Playoff Hoops in Full Swing for Brick Teams

Fans hoping hoop dreams don't deflate

Throughout what appeared to be a long, eventful, regular season, the NJSIAA playoffs have arrived for the sports teams in Brick.

For Brick Memorial, both the boys basketball team and ice hockey team qualified for their conference tournament and state playoffs. With the Shore Conference Tournament for boys basketball being much larger than the eight-team bracket for hockey, the Mustangs boys travelled to take on rival Howell after gaining the 21st seed. The boys battled throughout the game, but it was too little, too late as the Mustangs fell, 52-48.

The Mustangs now await the state playoffs for some revenge and success.
