Mustangs Look to Make Run at State Hoops Title

Brick Memorial boys hit the road for first round game on Monday night

After a long lay-off following their first-round exit from the Shore Conference Tournament, Brick Memorial is ready to hit the hardwood once again.

Following a 52-48 loss at Howell Feb. 15, the Mustangs are now the 13 seed in the NJSIAA Central Jersey Group IV playoffs, and will hit the road to take on West Windsor-Plainsboro South, seeded fourth, on Monday  at 6 p.m.

With a win, the Mustangs may be looking at a re-match with Howell. The Rebels have beaten Brick Memorial twice this season in what is becoming a very physical rivalry. After their loss to Howell nearly two weeks ago, head coach Ed Sarluca seemed disappointed but was encouraged by the late rally the Mustangs made.
