Remediation Efforts Continuing at Drum Point

Crews are going to be working "around the clock," this weekend and starting again at 3 p.m. next Wednesday, to remove mold from the Drum Point Elementary School in Brick, according to Brick Township's Superintendent.

"On wednesday of next week, [the remediation company will] come in at 3 p.m with a larger crew, and we are going to have crews working continuously, around the clock, to complete remediation by Nov. 10," Superintendent Walter Uszenski told Patch this week. He said the district is working to respond to parental concerns about their children attending the school while the mold is still present.

Estimates from earlier this month put the total so far more than $356,000.
