Brick Student Athletes Win Sportsmanship, Academic Awards

Several students from Brick Township High School and Brick Memorial High School recently were presented with awards honoring both sportsmanship and academic achievements.

Selected athletes were honored at the Ocean County Athletic Director’s Sportsmanship Breakfast last week, school officials said. The students were recognized not only for their stellar athletic performance but also for their sportsmanship and character among their teammates.

Brick Township High School’s honorees were Drew Scott and Bailey O'Hara and Brick Memorial High School’s honorees were Kevin Veltre and Kate LiPuma.

Also held last week was the UNICO Scholarship Dinner, where Brick Memorial High School's scholarship winners were Tyler Hobbs and Robert Triano, who were both were awarded the Brian Piccolo Memorial Scholarships. Brick Township High School's scholarship winners were Daniella Maggio, who received the Brian Piccolo Memorial Scholarship, and Vince Mancuso, who received the Vincent DiLeo Scholarship.
