Brick's BEST Students Help Animal Shelter

Fundraiser supported Jersey Shore Animal Center

Students in the Brick school district's BEST before and after care program recently donated over 70 pounds of pet food and 30 large bags of blankets, toys, leashes, beds, and treats to the animals of the Jersey Shore Animal Center.

The donations this month were part of an annual program to help the shelter as part of Responsible Pet Owners' Month.

Lanes Mill Elementary School students and their families donated the most food – 25 pounds – and took home a special honor. The families of Emma Havens Young Elementary School came in second.
