Brick Memorial Mock Trial Team Wins County Championship
BMHS team wins championship for the first time in its history
For the firs time in the history of Brick Memorial High School, the varsity Mock Trial team has become the 2013-14 Ocean County Champions.
The team competed in this year’s Vincent J. Apruzzese High School Mock Trial Competition, a NJ State Bar Foundation sponsored statewide competition. The case for this year dealt with vehicular homicide, school officials told Patch.
On Feb. 4 at the Toms River County Courthouse, the BMHS team competed and was awarded the 2013-14 Ocean County championship.
Members of the BMHS Varsity Mock Trial Team are: Griffin Carney (Captain), Alec De Bari(Captain), Rob Triano, Matt Lyons, Ryan Bruett, Sean Millea, Damien Rivera, Steve Schocket, George Simonovich, Stephanie Barneman, Chris Hazard, Marc Hall and Sebastian Justiniano.
