Brick Hockey Alumni Game Being Planned

Organizers looking for past players

Brick Memorial High School alumni and current students will square off in a hockey game Thanksgiving weekend.

The annual game – this year celebrating its 30th anniversary of Brick Memorial hockey – will be played Saturday, Nov. 26 at 5 p.m. at Ocean Ice Palace, according to organizers.

"We are trying to contact as many alumni as possible to join us in celebrating the past 30 years," said Mark W. Smith, of the Brick Memorial Hockey Association, in an e-mail to Brick Patch.

The event will also kick off the hockey season for the 2011-12 school year, and organizers are looking for both participants to play in the game, as well as fans to cheer from the bleachers.

Those who wish to participate can contact Smith via e-mail at ndmets@comcast.net.
