Dragons knock off Steinert to reach section finals for first time since 2009
The Brick Dragons will be wrestling for their first sectional title since 2009 and just the second in school history when they travel to top-seeded Ocean for a 7 p.m. match on Friday.
Brick (18-4) defeated Ocean in 2009, 30-26, to win its first sectional championship. This year's duel will be just as challenging.
On Wednesday night, Brick defeated Steinert, 38-25, recording four pins en route to the victory. Brothers Kyle (113) and Dan Wojtaszek (170) recorded falls, with Dan's pin of Josue Cotto setting off three straight bout victories that boosted the Dragons.
