Will you look at that list. A real who's who of political connections. Maybe some day if we are really lucky, it will be all about the children and not who's the most politically connected!!!!!

I vote for Vic Fanelli... I like him... As far as the others... want to hear more about them and their positions on... - Education and test scores. What do they feel needs to be done to improve. - Class size and longer class days.. This means higher cost but its a good thing. - Building improvements.. - Benefits to employees.

People run for boe to improve their own standing and connections.....not necessarily to improve the schools. It's all about paybacks and favors. It is the same in every town.....you'd be hard pressed to find a town where half or more of the boe hasn't gotten relatives or friends jobs or promotions in the school system.

Going with the Conti ticket. Honorable Brick guy with a young child going into the school system looking to make a difference. Tired of all the garbage.
Lil'DragonMom June 06, 2012 at 01:35 AM
Definitely split the tickets

campbell, Terebush, Pannucci definately not getting my vote. Barton is a nice guy and I like him. Fisher I have questions about. Dont know much about the other's. Going to be alot of googling and reading up on this group. As I stated before, that kist is a who's who of political connections here in Brick.

Mr. Campbell has done soooo much facility wise! It would be a shame to see this man go!!!
BW June 06, 2012 at 02:41 AM
No it wouldnt. Campbell was part of the backroom deal Steve had going for the OIP. He is so politically connected you can smell it a mile away. KEEP POLITICS OUT OF OUR SCHOOLS!

A lot of people use the school board as a stepping stone to a higher position later. It's our job to make sure these people are kept out of the BOE and only people who are interested in improving are schools are put in. The condition of Brick High has me seeing red. I'm watching my school that I graduated from, crumble before my eyes feeling helpless to be able to do something about it, but I can in the voting booth, so I will. Those of you looking to use the BOE as that stepping stone, we know who you are, Bye Bye.

I think we have had enough of politically connected people like Pannucci (to Acropolis) on the board. Time for a change.

Carl is he the same Mr. Lau who is a professor at Rutgers? I have started googling the candidates and I kept coming across his name associated with Rutgers.
Ed LeFurge June 06, 2012 at 11:42 PM
He's a great guy and is truly for the students and improving the district!
CARL ANDERSON June 07, 2012 at 02:31 AM

Mickey June 07, 2012 at 01:44 PM
Pannucci, isn't he the chairman of the Republican Club ? The same guy that was "given" a job for friends & family at the MUA ? Some guys just want to keep taking & taking it seems.
Portia June 09, 2012 at 03:55 PM
Then Vic Fanelli is your candidate . . . his heart is in the right place . . . and definitely not going to play the role of a Puppet for either political party . . . given the opportunity, in time will SHINE

So let me get this straight, we want independent thinkers on this BOE. We want the best people who will put the students first, before any political agenda. So let's go down the names: Pannucci Jr, ok his dad and him brought Federal Hill Risk Mgtmt to Brick. The same guy who stole money from Toms River along with Ritacco. He holds a politically appointed job at the MUA given to him by the Republican mafia. Along with him runs Rich Lau, millionaire who lives on Princeton Ave. has no chlidren period and has former councilman Bryan Deluca running his campaign. Ok, Then you have Brenda Calderonne who is President of the Special Ed PTA who broke all the bylaws and won her position by an illegal vote. OK, so far, a great ticket. Then you have Mike Conti who can't vote on anything because his wife is a teacher in the district and is part of the Walter Hrycenko crew. What a great ticket. They definitely do not have my vote!

Terebush, enough said. Who wants to bring back the clock over everyone's heads and be treated like garbage? Also, Mrs. Terebush holds a municipal secretary position for the Democratic Club. Political??? I think so. Fisher, he is a bohemian that no one can figure out. Barton, nothing like breaking the law and having 12 dogs breeding in your house illegally. Pillars of society, I don't think so.

Finelli, he loves to hear himself talk. He is one of those senior men who is lonely with nothing else to do but come to every meeting he can to cause trouble. Don't know much about Lois Turner, but I will be looking into her. Susan Sutter, I like her style. She seems to be very concerned for the school district. She asks very good questions and is right on target with academics. Walter Campbell is a good man from what I have seen. He gets credit for keeping the Business Administrator on his toes with all the facilities. At the last meeting, the President said that Mr.Campbell treats all these facility projects like they are being done at his own house. I liked that. Karen Cusanelli seems like she is a sharp one. She asks good questions and seems to be on the mark about all the things being done wrong in the school district by former Superintendent Hrycenko. If you go to the meetings, you will probably get the same impressions that I have. Just voting party lines will ruin the progress I see happening now. I still have further research to do, but that's it for now.
Lil'DragonMom July 29, 2012 at 01:31 PM
Jay jay......Still undecided on who to to vote for. I can agree with your implied point that there should be a few more candidates to choose from. But with that being said, some of your statement(s) about those who chose to run are innaccurate.
CARL ANDERSON August 18, 2012 at 02:14 AM
a shore thing is right about rich lau,he is a shorething if we vote him in he will do whats right with no hidden agenda but to do whats right for the children of brick and the township and the boe

We need to pick three for the 3 year term and one for the 1 year term. Unhappy with the present Board members, so I'm looking for some guidance.
