Two Brick Residents Appointed as BTMUA Commissioners

Two commissioners' terms expire this week

Two township residents have been appointed by the Brick Township council to serve as commissioners of the Brick Township Municipal Utilities Authority.

Thomas C. Curtis, of Red Cedar Drive, and James C. Bayard, of Albermarle Road, were appointed at the Jan. 28 council meeting. They replace Patrick L. Bottazzi and John M. Ciocco, whose terms as commissioners will expire Jan. 31.

Bottazzi and Ciocco had both been appointed by Republican-led township councils. Ciocco unsuccessfully ran for a seat on the council in 2013.

Both Curtis and Bayard will serve a five year term, which will expire Jan. 31, 2019.
