Snow Closures for Brick, Point Pleasant Area Wednesday

Brick Schools are closed.

St. Peter's School is closed.

Point Pleasant Schools are closed.

Point Pleasant Beach Schools are closed. 

Ocean County College is closed, including the Main Campus in Toms River, the Southern Education Center in Manahawkin, and all off-campus locations.

State government offices are closed.

Brick Recreation Department activities are cancelled for today.

Brick Garbage and Recycling collections for Wednesday are cancelled. Please keep in mind that collections were already delayed one day; they will resume on Thursday for homes that have regular Tuesday collection. 

The Brick Township Council Meeting scheduled for Jan. 21 at 7 p.m. has been postponed to Tuesday, January 28 at 7 p.m.

Wednesday Brick municipal court is postponed, and court dates will be rescheduled for each case on the docket.

Point Pleasant Borough Board of Education has postponed its meeting to Jan. 27

Point Pleasant Borough Council has rescheduled Tuesday's meeting for Jan. 30.

Point Pleasant Beach Borough Council has rescheduled Tuesday's meeting for January 28 .

CORRECTION: Point Pleasant Borough trash collection for Wednesday is NOT canceled as Patch originally reported. Patch regrets the error. Point Pleasant Beach has no collection today.

Brick Nutrition Site is closed.

The Community Resource Center in Brick is closed.

All branches of the Ocean County Library will reopen at 1 p.m.

Ocean County Vocational Technical School locations are closed.

My God, you would have thought we got 3 ft of snow... we're encouraging a whole new generation to become woosie's... All the major roads were fine, Parkway was blacktop, Rt 9 was fine, Lacey Road was fine...back streets were snow covered but no problem transiting them...thank God the plowing crews could come to work... Guys did a GREAT JOB !!!
