TOMS RIVER: Kelaher over Brush 66% to 30%.

The first DISTRICT votes are now in. It's one single district and 1.75 percent of the voter base. However, Democrats maintaining their lead.

First numbers are in. Only a few hundred votes, but all four Democrats are beating the four incumbents. Out of about 500 votes, Democrats winning by about 50 votes each. This mainly represents mail-in ballots!

Polls are now closed. Results should start coming in in a few minutes. We'll post 'em as we get 'em for the township, county and state legislature.

UPDATE 7:51 P.M.

Democrats are feeling confident. From their Facebook page: "This is it! We are down to the final 20 minutes. See you at the victory party!!!!!!"

UPDATE 5:35 P.M.

Voter turnout seems to be high in the Herbertsville section. There was a short line to check in at the Herbertsville fire house polling place, and a small traffic delay was seen on Herbertsville Road outside.
