Lottery Ticket Worth $35,243 Sold At Ocean County Store

Two winning Jersey Cash 5 tickets worth $35,243 each were sold in Essex and Ocean Counties - including a store in Barnegat - for the Thursday, Feb. 6 drawing.

The Essex County winning ticket was sold at McCalls Liquors Corp., 513 Hawthorne Ave., Newark and the Ocean County ticket was sold at Country Farms, 849 West Bay Ave., Barnegat.

Executive Director Carole Hedinger said the winning tickets were the only two sold for Thursday’s drawing that matched all five numbers drawn. The winning numbers were 13, 15, 24, 28 and 36.

“We are thrilled that the winning jackpot tickets were sold at the McCall’s Liquors Corp. and the Country Farms,” said Hedinger. “For selling these tickets, the retailers will each receive bonus checks for $2,000. Overnight, they have become two more ‘lucky locations’ for the very fortunate lottery winners.”

Hedinger also noted that 2,286 other players won $60,369 in cash prizes in the Thursday drawing. For correctly picking four numbers, 59 players won cash prizes of $608 each, and for correctly matching three numbers, 2,227 players won $11.00 each.

Good for them. They'll be able to pay off half their property taxes this year.

Good for some lucky person in Barnegat. I wish them will. Speaking of Barnegat , rumor around the township is that someone will be running against Marty in the GOP primary--any names going around town? Guess the GOP club wants Marty out mmmmm interesting
