Last Meeting for Acropolis, Outgoing Council

The last meeting of the terms of Mayor Stephen Acropolis and outgoing Councilmen Daniel Toth, Domenick Brando and Joseph Sangiovanni will come 10 a.m. Tuesday Dec. 31.

The final Brick Township Council meeting of 2013 has a light agenda for the morning meeting, tying up some loose ends with license renewals and open budget line items. It also is the last meeting for the four outgoing elected officials, whose terms end that day.

On New Year's Day, the township will swear in its next mayor, Dem. John Ducey and three Democrat council members, giving the party complete control of both the council and the mayoral seat.

The township reorganization meeting is 3 p.m. Jan. 1.

I hope the new Boss is not the same as the old Boss. I just do not trust politicians with good reasons. Time will tell

Steve Acropolis is the 2nd worst Mayor in Brick Township history. Only an admitted, convicted bribe soliciting extortionist named Joe Scarpelli is ahead of him.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL. Good luck to our new mayor and the residents of Brick.

Thank you BBW. It is refreshing to read a polite comment.

I will have some hope when I see the red light cameras come down. That was a first order of business according to the new Mayor. This has become such an unfriendly town

Red Lights go and revenue will be needed to replace what they brought in. Drive safely and you'll have no problem with them. Would love to know what the "R's" had on Toth. Whether worst or 2nd worst, Steve's departure was much needed. Let's give this new group a chance before throwing stones. Hopefully they eliminate the unnecessary jobs created in the past. Place the interests of Brick first and let's all move forward. Happy New Year all......even you Art.

You are a very generous man with your salutations, Ryan. Happy New Year to you too.
