Former BOE Member Appointed to Housing Authority

Council also makes Board of Adjustment picks

Former Board of Education member Kim V. Terebush will replace Michael Thulen, Jr. as a commissioner of the Brick Township Housing Authority.

The council unanimously approved the appointment of Terebush, a former president of the school board, to the post.

She will begin serving on the board March 15 and serve through March 14, 2018.

The housing authority governs Brick's public housing complex on Chambers Bridge Road, which consists of low-cost housing for senior citizens and the disabled. The authority is federally funded.

The council also appointed three new members to the Board of Adjustment.

Eileen Della Volle and Harvey Langer were appointed as board members and Frank Mizer was appointed as an alternate member.

Della Volle's and Langer's terms will last through Dec. 31, 2016 and Mizer's term will last through Dec. 31, 2014.

The three replace William Chandler, Edward Mercer and Victoria Chadwick on the board.

The Board of Adjustment's purpose is to hear proposals for variances – effectively exceptions – if a construction project or subdivision does not comply with the township's zoning code.

The council also appointed Ann M. Krieg and Jennifer Papa-Errickson to the township's Trap, Neuter, Release Committee.

Seriously? One really has to wonder what the hell people are thinking when they make these appointments. Geez maybe I should make nice with the politicians in this town and get myself an appointment or no show job.

Board of Adjustment is hardly a "no show job" and besides, doesn't the job have to pay to be able to be classified as a "no show job"?
Seriously, I'm rather sick of all the negative comments people always post.

You must be kidding me. Miss Terebush's house is presently foreclosed (not in the process) a done deal, going to sheriff's auction.. Her mortgage company pays her real estate taxes, how does this make the honest taxpayers of Brick feel. Maybe she will assign herself low cost housing. Another liar, in the political arena.

Terebush is a class act NOT. Her house is foreclosed and scheduled for sheriffs sale. Maybe she can get free housing. She can't run her own affairs so let her run the town's.

Ms. Terebush is one of the most dishonest people I have ever met. She is a deceitful, vengeful, angry woman. Come on council, what are you doing? Didn't you learn your lesson when she was on the BOE. A troublemaker with a capital "T"

Wonder if she'll approve housing for her father. Since they own homes in Edison, Naples, Fl and income housing in Brick. Yes, they are in need.

Harvey Langer? That is really reaching. This is a real throwback to times that were better forgotten.

How was Thulens kid quailified, to be appointed to this position in the first place ? A sad state of affairs in Brick.

I can’t understand why no one has picked up that the former Councilman TM who has absolutely no qualification is deputy director of the housing authority, and they bring in and pay a director from up north with the proper credentials as director to show up a few hrs a week just to make it all seem legal? Danny have you looked into this?

I agree with quiet time. Def consideration of my neighbors if they have a sleeping baby or back yardRead More party. We surely try to respect that.

Funny Lelenore, I don't see that there are very many rules and regs. If it were elected it would notRead More be an infringement. I respect your opinion, but still feel six day time hours out of an entire week is not a lot to ask. If nothing else, would love to see a ban on gas leaf blowers. There are towns that have that in place. The mowers are not really IMHO that intrusive, but the leaf blowers and concrete cutters are another matter. Trouble is, people herebouts think they are in Montana and often are as you say, on 100 by 100 lots. What is the point of having all of this grass and trees if one never has the serenity about them to enjoy it? I think the ill effects of suburban noise pollution on health - blood pressure, aggression, release of the chemical cortisol etc. are well documented. Over a twenty five year period in time in Brick I find that this has become a real quality of life issue. At one point in my life I resided in mid town Manhattan and ya know what - being high up IT WAS QUIETER! Jackson? I don't think so. Doesn't Brielle have such an elective ordinance?

It was suppose to move next to the next liquor store behind Harbor Freight on Hooper. But,they neverRead More did.And when we pass it,it looks like they aren't even working on that side of the building. We miss that place for their deli dept.

They are waiting for the new store to get dirty and smell. It needs to be run down a little bit forRead More it to function properly.
can't say who June 19, 2013 at 05:44 pm
Right next to the liquor store. The reason it is taking so long is the politics of Acropolis andRead More Pat Botazzi. They kept the liquor store from opening for TWO years by controlling the planning board and caused the store owner HUNDREDS OF THOUSANS OF DOLLARES WITH COURT FIGHTS. Acropolis LOST THE COURT FIGHTS BUT CONTINUES TO BEAT UP ON THE LIQUOR STORE'S NEW TENNANT AS RETROBUTION Now Acropolis can play the code enforcement game and still get his happiness as a bigoted soon to be ex mayor and not a nice man. How about denying this. It is going to be a great store with the same owners and great food IF Acropolis doesn't have them go bankrupt due to him before they even open.
