FEMA Allocates $6M for Seaside Heights Boardwalk

Spring Lake boardwalk reconstruction also funded

The Federal Emergency Management Agency has announced it will provide Seaside Heights with $6.08 million toward the reconstruction of its boardwalk.

The entire reconstruction project cost $8.11 million.

The boardwalk, which runs nearly the length of the borough, was destroyed in Oct. 2012 by Superstorm Sandy. The boardwalk was reconstructed over the winter and reopened in time for Memorial Day weekend.
