Gov. Christie to Hold Town Hall in Toms River on Tuesday

It will be the governor's 19th town hall meeting.

Gov. Chris Christie will be in Toms River on Tuesday, hosting his 19th town hall event this year.

The town hall will be held at Toms River National Guard Armory, 1200 Whitesville Road. That's near the on Whitesville Road. Doors open at 2 p.m., but the event does not begin until 3 p.m.

This isn't the first town hall Christie held in the Toms River area; the last one was in November. He was also recently in Toms River for a for Ocean County Freeholder Joseph Vicari, who is seeking re-election.

The town halls, where queries from the public are taken in addition to the governor's statements, are often packed events that cover a range of topics.

Previous town halls held throughout the state have seen Christie bash Democrat legislators and openly discuss his agenda. He's also been routinely heckled by those who take issue with his stances on the teachers' union and public employees.
