The meeting will include presentations on the 2013 budgets for several major township departments, including recreation, police and public works.

The recreation portion of the meeting will include details on the beach budget as well as parks, while the police portion will go into details on vehicles, dispatching, emergency management and more.

The public works portion will cover roads, bus transportation, solid waste collection, buildings and grounds, and vehicle maintenance.

The meeting will essentially be a continuation of previous departmental budget discussions that have taken place at the start of the last several regular meetings. The budgetary reviews are held in the run-up to a formal budget presentation by the mayor.

The township has not yet introduced its budget for 2013 and has been relying on continuing resolutions that fund township operations, a standard practice in New Jersey municipalities.

Business Administrator Scott Pezarras said the state asked Brick to delay introducing its budget since the township may qualify for federal operating loans due to the Superstorm Sandy disaster. In previous disasters, Pezarras said, the loans have eventually been forgiven.

Tuesday's meeting will be held at the municipal building on Chambers Bridge Road.
