Brick Seeking Barrier Island Owner Information

Contact information being solicited from homeowners

Brick Township officials are asking residents of the barrier island neighborhoods in town to submit their updated contact information to the township administration.

"Tremendous progress has been made in the recovery effort along the Route 35 barrier Island section of Brick Township," township officials said in a statement Saturday, though residents are still not allowed in those sections.

Emergency vehicles, however, are now able to access at least some areas.

In an effort to update its database, the Township of Brick is requesting all barrier Island property owners send an email or leave a voice message with up to date contact information to the following secure locations:

  • E-mail: barrierisland@twp.brick.nj.us
  • Phone: 732-262-2940

Happy for those who are in Brick..but residents of Normandy (Toms River section) -separated by mere blocks from Brick-are being told maybe they will get on island in 2 weeks and won't be able to get back to houses until spring. Why are these two residents - BRICK VS, TOMS RIVER (DOVER BEACHES NORTH) being treated so differently?Doesn't make sense!!!!

Lori - as a resident of Brick, I often asked that question many times after hearing how some people view my town.

deauville beach residents are allowed to go to the homes this Friday 11/9.. Call Brick Township Police to get a schedule of when buses will run to your area.. Buses run on the hour from 9-4. You are allowed to bring a suitcase that can fit on your lap. 2 people max per home. This is phase 1----just to assess your home and get belongings.. not disposal/contract work.. that will be what they are calling phase 2.
