The township came into the season after a good showing in 2010, said Business Administrator Scott Pezarras.

"This year was a good year as well, even though we had a little more rain," he said.

The township also generates some revenue from an administrative fee charged to some of the township's private beach clubs. The township staffs the private beaches each season and recoups its cost plus a 5 percent fee, Pezarras said.

Pezarras said the township covered the cost of running its beaches this summer with a bit left over.
