Brick Reorg Meeting Set for Sunday

Meeting schedules will also change for 2012

The township's annual reorganizational meeting will be held at 1 p.m. on New Years Day.

The reorganizational meeting includes the swearing in of newly elected or re-elected council members, and traditionally, the appointment of individuals or companies in certain roles in township government. In November, four Democrat challengers ousted four incumbent Republican council members. Those new officials will be sworn in at the meeting.

There has been a misconception that the township's annual, end-of-year council meeting, which will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, would serve as the reorganizational meeting, however township officials confirmed this was not the case.

Additionally, meeting schedules will change after the new year. There will now be two caucus meetings and two regular council meetings each month. The previous council met twice per month in what was termed a combined caucus-public meeting. Caucus meetings are open to the public.

  • Tuesday Jan. 3, 2012 at 7 p.m.
  • Tuesday Jan. 17, 2012 at 7 p.m.

Regular, Public Meetings:

  • Tuesday January 10, 2012 at 7:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday January 24, 2012 at 7:00 p.m.
