Brick Recognizes Volunteers in Town

Girl Scout Troop 1532 accepts award

It's National Volunteer Week, and Brick Township is celebrating.

The township council passed a resolution at its meeting this week recognizing National Volunteer Week, which runs April 15 through April 21.

Girl Scout Troop 1532 led the pledge of allegience at Tuesday's council meeting, and was presented with awards and copies of the resolution honoring volunteer groups in town.

"What makes Brick Township such a great town is all the volunteers, all the things they do to help us," said Mayor Stephen C. Acropolis, who also thanked the township's firefighters, first responders and civic groups.
