Brick Municipal Complex Open, But Services Limited

Power outage affecting township services

Power outages in the wake of Hurricane Irene have left the Brick Township with a lack of power.

The complex, on Chambers Bridge Road, is open, but its services are limited. Business Administrator Scott Pezarras said the building is operating on an emergency generator system, but some phases of the multi-phase system are not operating. The tax office is open, he said, but residents coming to pay their tax bills may experience lines or delays since only two terminals are operating.

Additionally, Pezarras said, the township Civic Plaza - also on Chambers Bridge Road - is running at a very limited capacity.
