Brick Land Use Dept. to Open One Saturday Per Month

Brick Township's Building, Engineering and Zoning depaertments will be available one Saturday per month throughout the year, Mayor John Ducey announced Friday.

"We understand 8am to 4pm conflicts with many people’s work schedule," said Ducey, in a statement. "These Saturday hours will offer everyone an opportunity to interact with staff from Building, Engineering and Zoning."

The Office will be opened from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on the following Saturdays:

  • March 29
  • April 26
  • May 31
  • June 28
  • July 26
  • August 23
  • September 27
  • October 25
  • November 15
  • December 12

Staff will also utilize the expanded hours to attend to the increased demand, and subsequent back-log, which resulted from Superstorm Sandy, the statement said.

Ducey said the additional hours will especially benefit part-time residents who are still repairing and renovating as a result of Sandy.
