Brick DPW Readying Plows For Afternoon's Heavy Snow

The salt is lain and the plows are cranking up, according to Brick Township.

With forecasts changed to now include as much as 14 inches of snow for the area, the township announced it had already begun treating roads with salt.

Plow crews will be called in around 2 p.m. and once enough snow is on the ground will set plows in motion.

Brick is advising all residents to remove vehicles and property parked on the streets so plows are not impeded.

Here is the complete post from Brick Township:

Public Works crews began treating roads at midnight; all streets should be done by 10 am.

Plow crews will assemble at 2pm to begin plowing when their is sufficient accumulation. Please assist by removing all cars and objects from township streets prior to the snow falling. Thank you.

All Recreation Department activities that begin after 12pm including early childhood programs and Pickleball are cancelled for today.
