Brick Council to Authorize Capital Budget

Council will introduce temporary capital budget

Brick Township Council members will introduce a $6.5 million capital improvement budget Tuesday night that includes $2.7 million in roadway improvements and other projects, such as curbs and sidewalks, bulkheading and dredging.

The budget also authorizes $753,350 in bonds for recreational park improvements and $325,800 for emergency vehicle purchases.

The council is also set to authorize the Epiphany Parish Carnival and take the first step in tweaking the township's peddling and soliciting ordinance.

The council will meet tonight at 7 p.m. at the township municipal complex on Chambers Bridge Road.
