More than 12 vehicles had their tires slashed in Toms River Saturday night into Sunday morning, and one of the vehicles had a swastika symbol engraved near the rear door, police said.
The vandals slashed 8 tires of vehicles that were parked in the lot of AMG Motors service center at 581 Fischer Blvd and other vehicles on Oceanic and Beach view Drive.
The victims estimate their loss at more than $4,000.
A 2009 Mercedes Benz had a Swastika symbol engraved into the rear door of the SUV.
Officers Nate Williams and Richard Karkovice are investigating.
Police are attempting to obtain security video from the area and anyone with information can contact Captain Bruce Burgess at 349-0150 ext. 200.
