Police are looking for a suspect who was responsible for driving a van into a 7-11.
At approximately 6:15 am, officers responded to the 7-11 store located at 335 Brick Boulevard for a report of a hit and run accident.
Brick Police dispatch was advised that a white van had struck the building and fled the area.
Officers arriving on scene conducted a check of the surrounding area with negative results. The building was closed by the Brick Township Building Department until repairs can be made to make the building safe.
Attached to this story is a still picture of the van as it is parked in front of the store prior to the crash, and also a picture of the believed make and model of the van that was involved.
Brick Police are continuing to work with store management to secure video of the crash, and we will release this upon receipt. The accident is being investigated by Patrolman David Thergesen.
