UPDATE: Point Beach Man Found in Vehicle Parked at Community Medical Center

The body of a 28-year-old Point Pleasant Beach man was found in a car parked outside Community Medical Center Thursday night.

William Thomson 3rd, 28, likely died of a drug overdose, but toxicology reports are pending, police said.

Township police were called by hospital security officers to the parking garage at about 11 p.m. after they noticed a man who they said was passed out in a vehicle, Chief Michael Mastronardy said.

They found the man's body in the back seat of the vehicle, said Mastronardy. Foul play is not suspected to have played a role in the man's death, he added.

Detective Robert Oneill is investigating the death along with the Ocean County Sheriff’s department, Ocean County Prosecutors Office and the Medical Examiners Office.

The deceased man's name was not released by police.
