Seaside Heights police are investigating the stabbings of two men during the early morning hours at Sumner Avenue and the Boulevard, Detective Steven Korman said.

Police responded to the area at 3:17 p.m. on a report of a disturbance. When they arrived, they found a 31-year-old Toms River man with a stab wound to the upper abdomen and a 24-year-old Lanoka Harbor man with a stab wound in his bicep, Korman said.

The Toms River man was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune. The Forked River man was transported to Community Medical Center in Toms River, he said.

The nature of the dispute is still under investigation by Seaside Heights police and the Ocean County Sheriff's Office Criminalistics Investigation Unit, Korman said.
