Two Arrested In Hooper Avenue Burglary Caught on Video

Two were arrested Friday in a Hooper Avenue burglary that was caught on video, police said.

Sonny L. Stanley, a.k.a. "Mandingo," 38 of Bernardsville and Tommy Marion, a.k.a. "Piglet," 37, of Rutherford, were charged with burglary, and theft.

Bail was set by Judge Robert Lepore at $70,000.00 with no option to post 10 percent. Stanley and Marion both posted bail and were released from custody while at Brick Police Headquarters.

After receiving numerous tips from the public and law enforcement agencies, detectives from the Brick Township Police Detective Bureau were able to identify and arrest two of the three suspects that were involved.

During the investigation two firearms that were taken from a residence were recovered by the Bergen County Police Dive Team in the Passaic River.

The Brick Police Department would like to thank the numerous citizens who viewed the video and photographs on the department's social media sites and provided crucial information that assisted with this investigation.
