Traffic Alert: Lanes Shift for Route 88 Construction Near Parkway
Projects near Parkway entrance, and also Route 35 work
Scheduled construction is expected to create delays through 5 p.m. along the border of Lakewood and Brick today.
Construction on Route 88 in both directions in the area of the Garden State Parkway will create lane shifts through 5 p.m., according to the state department of transportation. The work was scheduled to begin as early as 7 a.m. today.
In addition, another state project is creating a traffic alert on Route 35 in Mantoloking in construction expected to continue through Jan. 2, according to the DOT. The project is creating lane closures intermittently today in both directions of the north-south barrier island road, between county Route 528 and Bergen Avenue. Route 528 is also known as Herbert Street.
