Sandy Contractor Gets Probation for Failing to Register

A Seaside Park man was sentenced Friday to one year of probation for failing to register as a contractor with the state Division of Consumer Affairs and conducting business in the wake of Superstorm Sandy, Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni announced.

Victor McGookin, 53, of Seaside Park, was sentenced to one year of probation on one count of fourth degree Failure to Register with the state Division of Consumer Affairs before Monmouth County Superior Court Judge

Big story. What did he really do wrong? Not register as a contractor? Year probation for that? Did he Rip any off? I see no crying here.

Sounds like more waste of taxpayer dollars for no reason. Go after the real bad guys.
