Brick Resident Indicted on Stolen Credit Card Charges

Grand juries hand up indictments

A Brick man faces charges after police said he used a stolen credit card to buy goods throughout the township.

Justin T. Herbster was arrested March 11 and accused of using a stolen credit card to buy items from Wawa and an Exxon station, while attempting to use it at A&P and Wawa, according to an indictment handed up Wednesday by an Ocean County grand jury.

Herbster was charged with two counts of fraudulent use of a credit card and two counts of attempted fraudulent use of a credit card. He posted $2,500 bail March 26.

Grand juries also indicted:

  • Tonya Sawyer of Jackson and Ron J. Wiley and LisaMarie Narciso, both of Seaside Heights, on shoplifting and dealing in stolen property charges.

The trio are accused of stealing Nintendo Wii controllers and jewelry from Walmart in Brick, then selling the Wii equipment in the township.

Sawyer remains jailed on $5,000 bail, no 10 percent option. Wiley and Narciso were both released on summonses.

  • John C. Hall of Brick on drug possession and attempted burglary charges.

Hall was arrested Dec. 12 in the township and accused of trying to break into a Taft Drive home, the indictment states. Hall also was in possession of alprazolam, a prescription drug, authorities said.

Hall was released on a summons.
