UPDATE: Four Arrested In Beaumont Drive "Raid" In Brick

Four people were arrested on drug charges Thursday on Beaumont Drive in Brick, police said.

At approximately 11:30 p.m., police executed a court authorized search warrant at 35 Beaumont Drive in the Bay Harbor section of Brick Township. The search warrant concluded an investigation into suspected narcotic distribution activities that were occurring at the residence, police said.

Arrested on scene were the following; Justin J. Tilton, 37, Brick; Jody T. Watkins, 37, Toms River; Derek R. Norkus, 36, Brick; and Amber J. Tempsick, 29, Brick, police said.

The subjects were transported to Brick Police Headquarters where all were charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (Xanax), possession of marijuana under 50 Grams, and possession of CDS paraphernalia.

All subjects were released on a criminal summons with pending court dates.

Huh? what type of raid? If that's all the info you have then why don't you report when you know more details. This was needless for us to know.

I don't know why anyone wants to be a part of Patch and have people hiding behind their keyboards constantly belittling or attacking the messenger. Bitter, negative people will lead to the end of Patch....

Jerry, I think the point that C is trying to make is that instead of posting these sensationalistic headlines with no information, why not just wait until there's an actual story to report? I agree with C. These ridiculous headlines are not newsworthy, and furthermore it makes the Patch seem like it lacks integrity and professionalism. They do this all the time. If they want credibility, they should just post a full story when enough details are in for it to be an actual story and not just a ridiculous headline with one sentence of information.

I'm not sure that commenters on here know that the Prosecutors office and local police are less than forthcoming always citing the fact they don't want to jeopardize their "cases".
Joe P January 17, 2014 at 09:26 PM
I don't think anyone wants these cases jeopardized. We want the thugs and druggies to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. As a town, we can't and shouldn't stand for these crimes. We all need to work with law enforcement to get the trash out of our neighborhoods and off our streets. We all need to take a stand. We all have a responsibility to keep a watchful eye on what's going on around us.

right on Joe P I feel so much safer knowing police kicked a door in arrested 4 people who were probably smoking pot in their house while watching a movie. The shit is legal in half the country. Now their names get dragged threw the mud. Brick PD really knocked this one out of the park! I know them and thugs are the one thing their not. I also heard they have a pit bull. must be possesed
Joe P January 18, 2014 at 05:32 PM
well johny9179, I guess they are living in the wrong half of the country. Maybe they should move to the other half where it's currently legal. Sucks for them.

They probably suspected a little more than some weed and Xanax going in. Your house wont get raided for personal amounts of weed. Patch should report all the bar fights in the area then compare to marijuana induced violence and vandalism. Which one is more abused and out of control marijuana or alcohol?
