Police Investigating Fatal Stabbing

Few details released on incident Sunday night

Police activity in the usually-tranquil Bay Harbor section of Brick on Sunday evening was the result of a fatal stabbing, officials said.

The incident occurred at approximately 6:45 p.m. in front of 152 Marilyn Drive, according to a statement jointly issued by Police Chief Nils R. Bergquist and Ocean County Prosecutor Marlene Lynch Ford. The victim, a 29-year-old male, was stabbed during an altercation in front of the residence.

The investigation is ongoing at this time by investigators from both the Brick Township Police Department and the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office. Additional details, including the name of the victim and the circumstances of the altercation that led to the stabbing, are being withheld, the statement said.
