Police Activity at Brick Plaza is a Training Exercise
Police will be conducting training at the movie theater at Brick Plaza in June
Police activity taking place at the movie theater at Brick Plaza, and heard over police scanners Tuesday morning, is a training exercise.
According to Sgt. Henry Drew, officers are conducting active shooter training at the AMC Loews Brick Plaza 10 during the month of June.
Last week, the department publicly announced the training "to ease any alarm or concern [residents] may have when observing an increased law enforcement presence in the area."
Though the training is not open to the public or the media, the department has been urging residents to watch a video posted on the FBI's website that provides tips on how civilians should respond to a real active shooter incident.
