Mantoloking Hopes To Fix Sandy-Impacted Beaches, Buildings By Spring
Mantoloking hopes to fix all beaches, the Borough Hall and anything else that was impacted by Superstorm Sandy last year.
The council presented a plan during its Nov. 26 meeting the borough's projects to replenish and refurbish the community.
The plan includes (see attached):
- Work on maintaining and replenishing and maintaining the beach and dunes, with Army Corps work beginning in the summer
- Shoring up the bayfront by mid-December
- Discuss plans for the Borough Hall by the end of the year
- Provide gas work and pump station work on Route 38, including several closures, by May
